Expressions of Interest sought to fill vacancies for Active
Volunteers and Trainee Officials.
Are you a go getter or a quiet achiever who likes to roll your
sleeves up and have a go? Have you got some hidden talents that
you are keen to show us? Do you enjoy working in small teams with
like minded people and having fun while you do it? Do you enjoy
serving your community? Have you been feeling inadequate watching
others do the work in your Club for your rider/s? Would you like
to help but want to ‘dip your toe in the water first’?
If you are one, some, or all of the above then - Your Club
Needs You!
All of the work required to run this Club and serve our members
is done by volunteers. The Club has no paid employees. It is self
funded and does not rely on Government assistance. Any assistance
is appreciated and a bonus.
Everything you see at our complex was built by volunteers during
the last 40 years. Everything that we can ‘see’ in our
future, will be built by volunteers. Volunteering is not just your
duty, it’s fun.
It’s also a generational thing. Every year new people join
in and others retire. Every year new things are done, and new things
will need to be done. The work never stops. If it does, so will
the riding. We need to keep the work going to keep the Club going.
We need a Succession Plan, so here it is!
The Club needs new people to work alongside experienced teachers
in small teams to train for or assist in the following ‘stuff’:
· Licensed Motorcycling Australia Officials: Stewards, Clerks
of the Course, Race Secretary’s, Scrutineers, Marshals
· Administrative Support: Sign On, Lap Scoring, Collating
and Maintaining Point scores, photocopying, processing membership
applications, Club Secretary, book keeping, minutes secretary’s,
filing and record keeping
· Construction, Maintenance & Repairs: Any trades/skills
to help us build and maintain the best dirt bike complex in Australia
· Track watering
· Leadership, Business Management, Decision Making: MX &
DT Sub-Committees, Business Analysis, Modelling and Planning, Policies,
Procedures, Risk Management, Emergency Planning, Health, Safety
and Environment.

winning sponsorships, partnering, website design/maintenance
· Canteens: Gourmet cooks, stock purchasing, sales, cleaning

· Not so fun: Cleaning, Toilets and rubbish removal
· Rider Training: Coaches and Assistants
· IT & Systems development: Brainy people who build
stuff in cyberspace so computers can do the work and we can all
have a fat time
Remember this: We can’t spend excuses, only actions, so if
you are here, you may as well be doing something useful. It’ll
help your kids, and it’ll help everyone else’s.
If one of these jobs sounds like a job for you, then go to Contacts
page, pick out someone who does what you want to do, go to the phone,
pick it up and call them. Offer to help. They’ll fall over
backwards, but when they wake up they’ll appreciate a hand.
Regards,
